Founded in 2012, Shelton-Miller, Inc. is a full service construction management company.  Headquartered in McKinney, Texas, we offer comprehensive, vertically integrated real estate and development services, site assessment and analysis, design assistance, pre-construction consulting and project management through project completion and turnover.

 


 

Robert Shelton, LEED AP BD+C

President / Pre-Construction & Estimating

Robert began his construction career in the late 90’s while in college, performing multiple trades, and has spent the past 14 years gaining experience in various areas of the construction industry and business development.  After graduating from Texas A&M, he worked as a Project Manager responsible for pre-construction services and management on a variety of commercial and custom residential projects, including municipal airport runways, schools and other municipal projects.
 
In 2005, Robert joined MYCON General Contractors as a Project Engineer and moved quickly into the Estimating role, followed by becoming the Pre-Construction Manager.  Robert was responsible for pre-construction services, design assistance and estimating of total project values exceeding $300,000,000 annually including office, retail, mixed use, industrial, religious and financial institution sectors.

He is well-versed in all facets of pre-construction including conceptual and schematic budget development, design team and process management, estimating, bid and proposal management, value engineering, project acquisitions and negotiations.

Robert is a LEED Accredited Professional and has worked on multiple LEED Certified projects ranging from Certified to Platinum.

Robert lives in McKinney, TX and is an avid outdoorsman, musician and competitive shooter.  He spends most of his free time in the Texas Panhandle or on horseback in the Rocky Mountains.

 

Clark Miller

CEO / Operations

Clark began working in construction as an assistant project manager at Pogue Construction in 2003. He quickly excelled, becoming a project manager and then a senior project manager. During his tenure at Pogue, Clark managed over $250,000,000 of projects from public schools, athletic facilities, fire stations, libraries, recreation and aquatic centers for several school districts, cities, counties and non-profit organizations.

“Being the single contractor for a bond package, be it a single project or multiple projects, requires a knowledge of the complete vision from programming, to design, to construction.  Working as a team with the owner and design group is critical is achieving success in any project.”

In 2010, Clark started Two State Construction which also acquired L.E. Fence Company.  Completing over $2,500,000 of ranch and game fencing projects throughout the southern region of the United States, Clark was also the director of Sales and Marketing including internet, magazine and national television ads and appearances.

Clark received his undergraduate degree at Abilene Christian University and went on to receive his graduate degree at Baylor University.  Clark currently resides in Anna, TX with his wife and 4 children.  He enjoys hunting, camping, and coaching his kids sports teams.  He and his family are active members at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Church in Prosper, TX and currently holds the rank of a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

 

Crystal Gilleland

Operations Coordinator

Crystal is originally  from Gardner, Kansas, but has been living and working in the North Texas area for the past 10 years.  She has an Associate Degree in General Studies and Liberal Arts and is experienced in accounting, human resources, and office management. 

Crystal began working in the construction industry in 2003 overseeing the bookkeeping for two Dallas based companies as well as assisting with project management for multi-million dollar construction builds. Crystal is married and enjoys spending time at her family lake house, fishing, reading, and traveling. She is also a volunteer for the American Cancer Society.
